Purpose: The Mayor’s values guide our decision making, strengthen our connections to the community, and create a work environment where everyone matters. The Mayoral Awards Program recognizes employees who exhibit those values.
The Mayor's Values
- We are STEWARDS for the District of Columbia
- We are LOYAL to our team and our city
- We are ACCOUNTABLE to each other and those we serve
- We are RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIVE and ACCESSIBLE
The program consists of three types of awards:
- Values Champions: An employee of the District government
- Values Team: Any team, unit, division or Administration within an agency
- Values Agency: Any District government agency
Winners will be selected for each fiscal quarter:
- Q1: October to December
- Q2: January to March
- Q3: April to June
- Q4: July to September
