Mayor Bowser will declare this #RootstoRoofs Week by launching a series of events that highlight her administration’s progress in providing all Washingtonians a fair shot by creating and preserving affordable housing.
- On Monday, Mayor Bowser will hold a groundbreaking for Parkway Overlook Apartments, 220 affordable housing units in the Ward 8 neighborhood of Congress Heights.
- On Tuesday, Mayor Bowser will host the fourth annual March Madness, a preview of new and upcoming development projects to deliver more quality affordable housing, inclusive economic growth, support for small businesses, and job opportunities for DC residents.
- On Wednesday, Mayor Bowser will hold a lease signing with residents currently experiencing homelessness.
