- On Monday, Mayor Bowser and Chief Peter Newsham will join a Conversation with Cadets to discuss the importance of MPD’s Cadet Program, which gives DC high school graduates a scholarship to the University of the District of Columbia and a part time job while they attain 60 college credits in order to enter the police academy.
- On Wednesday, ahead of WMATA’s budget hearing, Mayor Bowser will host an event to support the region’s workers in the ongoing push to Keep Metro Open to provide an affordable transportation option for those who work late at night.
- On Thursday, Mayor Bowser will break ground on a new corporate headquarters at The Yards in Ward 6, bringing 1,200 jobs to the District.
- On Friday, Mayor Bowser will host a public safety press conference to announce a new effort to combat illegal guns in the District.
