(Washington, DC)  - The District’s reported data for January 3, 2022 includes 2,006 new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the District’s overall positive case total to 105,493.

The District reported that two additional residents lost their lives due to COVID-19.

  • 68-year-old female
  • 78-year-old female

Tragically, 1,220 District residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19.
