“Tonight, President Biden made clear that he not only understands the challenges Americans are facing, but he has a path forward. He has a path forward for protecting women’s rights in the face of increasingly extreme policies. He has a path forward for making life for everyday Americans, from students to seniors, more affordable and helping more people get in and stay in the middle class. He has a path forward for putting homeownership in reach for more Americans. And a path forward for saving more Americans from the horror of gun violence.
“Here in DC, we are moving forward our own Comeback Plan, which will include working with federal partners to transform the RFK campus for our community and the millions of people who come here every year. What President Biden laid out tonight was the story of our nation’s comeback, one that has focused on protecting our freedoms, defending our democracy, and giving more Americans a fair shot. President Biden delivered a message of resilience and opportunity, dignity and decency, and above all else, progress and possibility.”
