“As we mark the 26th anniversary of World AIDS Day, we want to celebrate the progress towards an AIDS-free generation, yet remember those we have lost to this global epidemic.
“Much more work remains in combating HIV/AIDS and I am dedicated to working with our District and regional partners to provide quality treatment to those continuing to battle the disease. We must also commit to forging more partnerships that allow for advances in medical research, preventative education, and increased access to care for low-income and underserved populations – in our community and the millions of at-risk men and women around the globe living with HIV/AIDS. “Be sure to get tested and know your status.
