(Washington, DC) – Mayor-elect Muriel Bowser issued the following statement after meeting with US Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) this morning to discuss a broad range of issues facing the District of Columbia:
“Congresswoman Norton and I had a very constructive meeting with Congressman Chaffetz this morning. Though we come from different sides of the aisle, we recognize there are opportunities for common ground on the issues that affect residents in the District of Columbia. Building consensus and having a collaborative approach are key to solving the most pressing challenges we face.”
