Mayor Bowser will continue to call on the Council to restore critical investments in affordable housing programs when it takes its final vote on the Fiscal Year 2020 budget on Tuesday.
- On Wednesday morning, Mayor Bowser will hold a media availability. That evening, Mayor Bowser will provide remarks at the 2nd Annual Miles Rawls Day Ceremony and recognize the Goodman Summertime Basketball League for its contributions to Ward 8 and the District. Later, Mayor Bowser will attend the GALA Hispanic Theatre’s annual Noche de Estrellas benefit.
- On Thursday, Mayor Bowser will join Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton for a press conference at the DC War Memorial to announce a major DC statehood update.
- On Friday, Mayor Bowser will launch a pilot project to install high visibility bus-only lanes in Downtown DC during peak rush hours. Then, Mayor Bowser will join women leaders and entrepreneurs in the District to unveil the Rosa Parks African American Heritage Trail designation at the O Street Mansion and Museum.
- On Saturday, Mayor Bowser will attend a block party to celebrate the Washington Mystics home opener and their first-ever regular season game at the St. Elizabeths East Entertainment and Sports Arena.
- On Sunday, Mayor Bowser will provide welcoming remarks at the Girls on the Run 5K.
