This week, Mayor Bowser will kick off budget season with her annual series of Budget Engagement Forums, where residents from all eight wards come together to share their priorities and learn about the budget process.
- On Tuesday, Mayor Bowser will host her first of three Budget Engagement Forums at Edgewood Recreation Center.
- On Wednesday, Mayor Bowser will host an event to sign legislation making Go-Go the official music of the District, featuring live music and a community celebration of Go-Go’s rich history in DC.
- On Thursday, Mayor Bowser will deliver remarks at UDC Founders Day. That evening, the Mayor will host her second Budget Engagement Forum at UDC’s Student Center.
- On Friday, Mayor Bowser will cut the ribbon on Ward 6’s Short-Term Family Housing Center, delivering on her promise to close and replace the DC General Family Shelter with dignified, service-enriched programs in all eight wards.
- On Saturday, Mayor Bowser will host her third Budget Engagement Forum at Kenilworth Recreation Center.
