Mayor Bowser Weekly Press Guidance Monday, September 17, 2018 – Sunday, September 23, 2018

On Monday, Mayor Bowser will be swearing in the Mayoral Appointment of 365 Board Members and celebrating with their guests at their Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

On Tuesday, Mayor Bowser will host a community walk in Ward 7 to address neighborhood concerns and hear from DC residents and business owners. Following the walk, the Mayor will cut the ribbon on 150 affordable units at 5201 Hayes Street, NE. In the evening, Mayor Bowser will attend the Dupont Park Civic association meeting.  

On Friday, Mayor Bowser will celebrate the unveiling of "Paul Devrouax Jr. Way" in the 800 block of G Street, NW.

On Saturday, Mayor Bowser will cut the ribbon on the much-anticipated Entertainment and Sports Arena, a 4,200-seat venue located on the former site of the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Ward 8 that will act as a hub for entertainment, sporting events, esports and more. Later, the Mayor will attend a DCPS Block Party at Anacostia High School to celebrate the start of the new school year with food, fun, and music.
