- On Monday, Mayor Bowser will mark the third increase to the minimum wage under the #Fightfor15 legislation that she introduced and championed in 2016, part of her commitment to create pathways to the middle class for Washingtonians across all eight wards. Effective July 1, 2019, the District’s minimum wage will increase from $13.25 to $14.00 per hour. And, in one year, it will rise to $15.00 per hour.
- On Tuesday, Mayor Bowser will break ground on Ward 1’s Short-Term Family Housing, delivering on her promise to close and replace the DC General Family Shelter with dignified, service-enriched programs in all eight wards.
- On Thursday, Mayor Bowser will lead community members in the Barracks Row and Palisades Fourth of July Parades.
