  • On Tuesday, Mayor Bowser will showcase the 100th installment of Solar Works DC, a clean energy program that installs solar panels on the homes of low- to moderate-income residents. Mayor Bowser will also deliver remarks at Georgetown University Law Center’s dedication of its “tower green” surrounding its iconic clock tower to Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton.
  • On Wednesday, Mayor Bowser will highlight the K Street Transitway Project, which represents her continued investment toward improving the District’s infrastructure. The Mayor’s FY20 budget proposal provides $122.1 million for the project, which will redesign K Street NW between 12th Street and 21st Street NW, and includes dedicated bus lanes, removal of existing service lanes, streetscape improvements, improved pedestrian access, and enhanced environmental conditions.
  • On Thursday, Mayor Bowser and DCPS Chancellor Lewis Ferebee will highlight FY20 education budget investments and launch the DCPS Student Guide to Graduation, College, and Career. This Student Guide is the first of its kind in DCPS, and positions the District as a leader in providing high school students with a personalized, in-depth look at their progress toward graduation, as well as recommended action steps for success toward graduation, college, and career.
  • On Friday, Mayor Bowser will join Congresswoman Norton for a press conference to defend DC values and advocate against any anti-DC riders being included in the FY20 federal spending bill. Finally, Mayor Bowser will cut the ribbon on the revitalized 220-unit affordable apartment community at Parkway Overlook in Congress Heights in Ward 8.
  • On Saturday, Mayor Bowser will participate in the Frank R. Williams Scholarship Fund’s 10th Annual Two-Mile Fun Walk, to raise funds for scholarship opportunities for Coolidge High School senior student athletes seeking higher education.
  • On Sunday, Mayor Bowser will deliver remarks at the Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church Nursery School’s 60th Anniversary Playground Party. Later, the Mayor will deliver welcoming remarks at the Washington, DC Hall of Fame Awards Program.
