(Washington, DC) – Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser issued the following statement regarding the attack and loss of lives in Paris:
“Our prayers go out to the people of France and all who were affected by today’s terrorist attack in Paris. The city of Paris and the District of Columbia are sister cities and have bonded in shared experiences and relationships since 2000. Today’s cowardly act against freedom of speech only strengthens our bond.
“The District stands in solidarity with the people of France. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this heinous act, their families and the people of France. We hope that the attackers are quickly found and brought to justice.”
