Mayor Bowser to Release the 2022 Green Book

Tuesday, December 14, 2021

(Washington, DC) – On Wednesday, December 15, at 9 am at the DC Chamber Annual Meeting, Mayor Muriel Bowser will announce the District’s most ambitious goal of spending yet with District-based Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) with the release of the Seventh Annual SBE Opportunity Guide, also known as the “Fiscal Year 2022 Green Book.” For the second year in a row, the Green Book will be online, searchable, and interactive.

The Green Book assists SBEs in navigating the local government procurement process by providing an agency-by-agency overview of SBE spending availability and allows SBEs to search for opportunities by industry. SBE is a certification category, which is part of the District’s Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) Program. This Program provides certified businesses preference points when bidding on District Government contracts.

Throughout #FairShot Week, the Bowser Administration is highlighting various new and existing programs designed to give Washingtonians a fair shot and accelerate the District’s economic recovery. The Mayor is promoting some of the many tools listed on ObviouslyDC.com that provide financial assistance and guidance to local businesses and businesses that want to open in, expand to, and create jobs and opportunity in Washington, DC.
