On Thursday morning, Mayor Muriel Bowser will host the Empowering Males of Color (EMOC) Urban Prep Fundraising Breakfast with stakeholders and community leaders at McKinley Middle School. After, Mayor Bowser will attend a “bottoming out” event for The Wharf, marking the end of site excavation and a major milestone for its development. During this event, Mayor Bowser will announce one of this site’s occupants. Later, Mayor Bowser will conduct a community walking tour in Columbia Heights directly followed by community office hours.
