Mayor Bowser Launches Together DC, Calls on Residents to Submit their Big Ideas for the Next Four Years

Wednesday, November 9, 2022

(Washington, DC) – Today, after being elected for an historic third term as the Mayor of the District of Columbia, Mayor Muriel Bowser launched together.dc.gov and called on residents to submit their big ideas for the next four years. The Mayor also encouraged Washingtonians to be a part of DC’s comeback by coming to work at DC Government. Many open positions can be found at together.dc.gov/jobs.

“We want residents from all eight wards, all industries and sectors, to join us and be part of something big – DC’s comeback,” said Mayor Bowser. “Over the last eight years, we have stuck together. We have big accomplishments to be proud of, but we also have a big job ahead. If you have a big idea for the future of DC, share it with us at together.dc.gov.”

Mayor Bowser also announced that in the coming weeks, a diverse coalition – made up of District government employees and leaders from outside the government – will help her gather community feedback as part of her Third Term Transition Team. The transition team is being led by Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, the former Director of DC Health, and Tommy Wells, former Councilmember and current Director of the Department of Energy and Environment.
