Mayor Bowser to Launch DC 2050, the District's Next Comprehensive Plan

DC 2050 to shape the District's future growth and development

(Washington, DC) –  On Monday, March 3 at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and the DC Office of Planning will launch DC 2050, the District’s next Comprehensive Plan. This full rewrite, the first since the 2006 Comprehensive Plan, will serve as a roadmap for how the city grows over the next 25 years. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with interactive stations, share input through surveys, and learn how they can participate in shaping the plan.

The event will take place at The Strand, a new restaurant that has opened inside the historic Strand Theater in Ward 7’s Deanwood neighborhood. The restaurant received support from the District’s Food Access Fund, a program supporting new grocery stores, restaurants and fast-casual restaurants, with a focus on Wards 7 and 8.
