(Washington, DC) – On Saturday, June 10, at 1:15 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser will kick off Back to Basics DC at the 10th Annual Truck Touch – a free, family-friendly event that will feature nearly 30 DC government vehicles for people of all ages to see and explore. The featured vehicles are used to clean and repair streets, change traffic lights, collect garbage, clear snow, and provide emergency services across Washington, DC.
Back to Basics DC is a multi-week celebration of the day-to-day work that keeps Washington, DC going. During Back to Basics DC, the Mayor will highlight the work of DC government employees, showcase innovations in service delivery, and share information about how the community can help the government keep Washington, DC a great place to call home.
