(Washington, DC) – Today, on Friday, May 23, Mayor Muriel Bowser will join the DC Department of Parks and Recreation, the DC Department of General Services, and community members to celebrate the official start of outdoor pool and spray park season with the annual “Jump in, DC” event. The celebration will feature food, games, music, and giveaways. The festivities begin at 3 pm with the spray park turning on for the summer. The speaking program and jump will begin at 4 pm. The public is invited to register to attend by visiting jumpindc.splashthat.com.
The event comes after the Trust for Public Land announced that DC was rated as having the #1 park system in the United States for the fifth consecutive year.
