(Washington, DC) – On Saturday, March 24, at 9 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will join DC students ages 12 to 18 who will share their experiences around gun violence and demand further action on gun reform. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, members of the Council of the District of Columbia, and Attorney General Karl Racine will join the students in calling for an end to gun violence and an end to congressional interference in DC’s locally passed gun laws.
The rally is organized in partnership by Mayor Bowser, the Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety on behalf of the full DC Council, and Moms Demand Action DC, with support from Black Women for Positive Change, Unite the Hill, Marion Barry Youth Leadership Institute, Serve Your City, Incubate, Mikva Challenge DC, and Omega Psi-Phi Fraternity.
