(Washington, DC) – With the New Year and the Mayor’s third term approaching, Mayor Muriel Bowser is inviting residents to join her for a series of DC Proud 2023 inauguration events, including a New Year’s Eve Celebration and Inaugural Ball, the FITDC Fresh Start 5K, an Inauguration Interfaith Service, and the Swearing-In Ceremony for the Mayor, the Council of the District of Columbia, and the Attorney General of the District of Columbia.
“As a city, we have a lot to be proud of and a lot to look forward to. As we head into 2023 and look ahead to the next four years, this is an opportunity to come together – our city as a whole – to celebrate, reflect, and strategize,” said Mayor Bowser. “I’m incredibly grateful for the trust of DC residents and the opportunity to lead my hometown, and I’m looking forward to all we can accomplish – together.
