(Washington, DC) – On Tuesday, July 4, Mayor Muriel Bowser, the United States Air Force Band, Events DC, and the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment will host the first-ever ‘Fourth of July in the District Concert’ featuring performances by the U.S. Air Force Band, Wale, Black Alley, and Sirius Company. The concert will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Pennsylvania Ave NW, between 12th and 13th Streets NW, and is free to the public with first come, first served seating. Residents are encouraged to RSVP HERE.

“With parades in the morning, a concert in the evening, and fireworks at night, there are so many opportunities to come together with friends and family this Fourth of July. We are excited to partner with the U.S. Air Force Band to showcase local DC artists along Pennsylvania Avenue,” said Mayor Bowser. “Part of our vision for DC’s comeback is bringing new and exciting events to downtown that residents from all eight wards can enjoy. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate July 4th than with a spectacular concert, steps from the National Mall, and broadcasting our vibrant DC culture to the entire nation.”

CNN will broadcast from the concert beginning at 7 pm ET.

Due to expected road closures, residents are highly encouraged to utilize metro to attend the concert or bikeshare. View a complete list of expected road closures HERE.
