Mayor Bowser to Host Senior Fest

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Thursday, June 29, at 10:15 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will celebrate Senior Fest, an annual picnic that will provide an opportunity for seniors to enjoy free food, live entertainment, music, health exhibits, board games and guest speakers. The event is free and open to the public.

Since taking office in 2015, Mayor Bowser has launched a range of innovative initiatives that support the city’s senior residents, including launching Safe at Home, a program that helps seniors age in place, and Age-Friendly DC – a coordinated, comprehensive, and collective effort that helps residents stay active and healthy. The Mayor has also made significant investments in housing, health, public safety, and economic stability programs.
