Mayor Bowser to Host Fourth of July Public Safety Briefing

(Washington, DC) On Monday, July 2, at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will provide updates on the District’s preparations ahead of the Fourth of July holiday. The briefing will include information on keeping residents and visitors safe, mitigating traffic surrounding road closures, implementing effective citywide communication for emergency and non-emergency city services, and management of large groups touring the city or participating in celebratory activities, including parades. Mayor Bowser and public safety officials will also highlight firework safety and tips to avoid heat exhaustion.
