(Washington, DC) Tomorrow, Mayor Bowser and Administration Officials will host the final Budget Engagement Forum of Fresh Start February.
The final Budget Engagement Forum is scheduled for Saturday, February 28 at 1 pm at Anacostia Senior High School, located at 1601 16th Street, SE. Register to attend here.
The Administration’s Budget Engagement Forums are designed as interactive discussions where DC residents can provide input to help shape priorities.
Mayor Bowser, City Administrator Rashad Young and Budget Director Matt Brown will present an overview of the current budget and the shortfall that DC government must close. Additionally, the forums will include break-out sessions comprised of eight-ten participants and facilitated by an administration official, grouped by budget priority topics.
Topics and suggestions will also be accepted via budget.dc.gov, a new interactive website where District residents can submit their ideas and suggestions for shaping the budget. Suggestions from the public and online submissions will be compiled and reviewed prior to Mayor Bowser’s budget submission to the Council of the District of Columbia in April.
All budget engagement forums are open to the press and public.
