(Washington, DC) – On Friday, April 12, at 8 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will host the 2019 DC Emancipation Day Full Democracy Champions Breakfast to celebrate and commemorate the 157th anniversary of DC Emancipation Day.
This year’s breakfast theme will be “Our Fight for Democracy Unites Us,” highlighting how the fight for DC statehood should transcend partisanship as an American issue.
