(Washington, DC) – On Sunday, March 4, at 4 pm, Mayor Bowser will celebrate seven women leaders and mark Women’s History Month at the Washington Women of Excellence Awards ceremony. As pillars of empowerment for all DC residents, the award recipients are being honored for their commitment to public service and significant contributions in the fields of television, public health and safety, higher education, and homelessness, among others.
Award recipients include:
- Rosibel Arbaiza – Owner, Golden Scissors; Vice President, Mi Barrio Latin Market
- Reverend Ginger Gaines-Cirelli – Senior Pastor, Foundry United Methodist Church
- Elaine A. Crider – Founder and President, The Crider Group
- Regine Elie – Executive Director, Healthy Babies Project
- Lesli Foster – Weeknight Anchor, WUSA9
- Amanda Nguyen – Founder and CEO, Rise
- Deborah Ratner Salzberg – Executive Vice President, Forest City Realty
