(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, April 11 at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will deliver opening remarks at Kaiser Permanente’s Health Action Summit. The summit will bring together health professionals to tackle the challenges facing our nation’s health care landscape.
Mayor Bowser will discuss the strides DC is making towards achieving health equity in the District, including advancements that improve equity in health coverage and care; the addition of new health care options in neighborhoods East of the River; and efforts to train DC’s next generation of health care professionals through the Advanced Technical Center, which will be expanded through the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2025 budget. .
