(Washington, DC) On Tuesday, January 17, Mayor Bowser will join mayors from across the country to discuss the potential impact of the new Administration and Congress on cities, including how mayors plan to defend against regressive rollbacks in policy areas such as immigration, health care, climate and civil rights.
The panel, titled "Mayors on the Frontline: Protecting Progressive Policy at the Local Level," is being hosted in honor of the US Conference of Mayors Winter Meeting and inauguration week. Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, and Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley will join Mayor Bowser for the discussion, which is being sponsored by the Center For American Progress Action Fund.
