(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Friday, February 16, at 4 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser will celebrate the grand opening of Engine Company 22, including Truck Company 11 and Ambulance 22, with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Ward 4.
Engine 22 is the third new fire station built under the Bowser Administration and is the second public building to be opened in the new Parks at Walter Reed redevelopment – a 3.1 million square feet of residential, office, and retail in Ward 4 that will generate 5,000 jobs, 2,100 units of housing, 432 of which will be affordable, and nearly $1 billion in tax revenue over 30 years.
