Mayor Bowser to Cut Ribbon on New Affordable Senior Housing Honoring Late Todd A. Lee and Highlight Affordable Housing Initiatives

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Wednesday, July 7, at 12 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser will be joined by DC officials and community members to cut the ribbon on the Todd A. Lee Senior Residences at Kennedy Street, a new all-affordable senior community named in honor of the late Todd A. Lee. Lee, who served as the Executive Director and CEO of the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency, was a champion for affordable housing throughout the District and especially recognized the need for senior housing.

Mayor Bowser will also announce that applications for the next round of Oramenta Newsome Predevelopment Loans are open for nonprofits and limited equity co-operatives. These loans can be used to help pay for the predevelopment soft costs of affordable housing projects.
