(Washington, DC) – On Wednesday, February 14 at 11:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and officials from the Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL) will host an inaugural event for DC seniors called “Red, White & You.” The event will bring together nearly 300 District seniors to celebrate Valentine’s Day by providing a welcoming space for fellowship, delicious food, craft making, and uplifting music. The event is one of the many ways that the District is supporting social connections for seniors and uplifting their health and wellness.
