Mayor Bowser to Celebrate Record Year for Tourism in Washington, DC at Travel Rally

Travel Rally Highlights Economic Impact of the Travel Industry in Washington, DC

(Washington, DC) – On Wednesday, May 9, at 9 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will join Destination DC President Elliot Ferguson and hundreds in the hospitality and tourism industry to announce record domestic visitation, spending and DC jobs supported by DC hospitality and tourism industries in 2017.

Destination DC’s Travel Rally is part of the U.S. Travel Association’s National Travel and Tourism Week (May 6-12, 2018) which highlights the importance of the tourism industry to the U.S. economy with the theme: “Travel Then and Now.”
