(Washington, DC) On Thursday, March 5, at 11:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and DC Public Schools (DCPS) Chancellor Lewis Ferebee will kick off the delivery of technology devices to schools as a part of the Mayor’s Empowered Learner’s Initiative.
Over the next few weeks, 16,400 Microsoft Surface Go devices will be delivered to schools across all eight wards, made possible by the Mayor’s $4.6 million investment in her Fiscal Year 2020 budget. The investment will provide every student in grades 3, 6, and 9 with a Surface Go, and a 3:1 technology device ratio for all other grades.
