On Monday, August 28, at 12 pm, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser will participate in the Regional Meeting alongside Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, and Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe. Since 2015, the Mayor and Governors have hosted regional meetings in each jurisdiction to discuss collaborative efforts such as the regional compact to address opioid addiction, ensuring safety beyond Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) SafeTrack and refining WMATA’s finances.
Following the meeting, the three leaders will hold a media availability with pre-credentialed press at 1:45 pm. Press interested in attending the event are asked to RSVP to [email protected] by 10 am, on Monday, August 28.
