Mayor Bowser to Announce #SportsCapital Preparedness Plans for World Series Games at Nationals Park

Fans Encouraged to Use Public Transit, Sign Up for Text Alerts from the District

(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, October 24, at 4 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser, District officials, and WMATA General Manager Paul Wiedefeld will outline preparedness plans to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for residents, commuters, and fans during the upcoming World Series games at Nationals Park. The #SportsCapital is using sportscapital.dc.gov to communicate road closures, parking restrictions, and available public transportation options.

Fans headed to Navy Yard for the games or watch parties are encouraged to sign up for free alerts from the District on transit, traffic, weather, safety and more by texting “NATS” to 888-777.
