Mayor Bowser to Announce New Round of High-Impact Tutoring to Serve Another 3,600 DC Students

(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, February 2 at 11:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will announce a new round of High-Impact Tutoring (HIT) grants to nine tutoring organizations that will provide services to 3,600 students at 34 schools and five non-school sites through summer 2024.

The new high-impact tutoring grants, made possible through a $7 million investment from the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), is part of the Mayor’s $39 million, multi-year investment to scale high-impact tutoring services, with a goal to reach 10,000 students by the end of the 2023-24 school year.
