Mayor Bowser to Announce Expanded Access to DPR Recreation Centers and Programming

(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, March 9 at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation will announce expanded operating hours at DPR recreation centers and encourage residents to get ready for DPR’s new summer camp programming available through Rec for ALL.

The Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget invested $17 million in Rec for ALL, which increased and expanded DPR’s programming while responding to the District's growing recreation needs. The initiative includes additional summer camp opportunities, sports programming, Sunday pool access, and more. DPR is also hiring for the summer, with over 700 positions available.
