Mayor Bowser to Announce District Anti-Human Trafficking Efforts

(WASHINGTON, DC) – In recognition of Human Trafficking Awareness Day, Mayor Muriel Bowser will announce a new partnership with the US Department of Homeland Security’s Blue Campaign to increase efforts to combat human trafficking at the District of Columbia Office of Human Rights’ Open House on Monday, January 11th at 11 am.

This partnership with the US Department of Homeland Security’s Blue Campaign – in collaboration with law enforcement, government, non-governmental and private organizations to combat human trafficking – will include a public awareness campaign and workplace posters to help the public identify and report suspected human trafficking. The District Department of Motor Vehicles will join the Mayor in announcing recent initiatives to combat human trafficking in the District.
