(Washington, DC) – On Monday, December 11 at 11:15 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will join officials from the U.S Department of the Treasury, DC Government, and Whitman-Walker to announce the approval of a $22.5 million investment from the American Rescue Plan’s Capital Projects Fund into the Whitman-Walker Max Robinson Center.
Opened in September, the Max Robinson Center is a 118,000 square-foot facility that provides a range of services to the community, including primary, dental, and HIV care, behavioral health services, substance use counseling, and a pharmacy.
This federal funding will support the Max Robinson Center’s continued expansion and development of a new research facility as the center adds 10,000 patients and clients annually to Whitman-Walker’s care capacity by 2025.
