(Washington, DC) – On Monday, February 26 at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will join District and business leaders to share two transformational plans designed to support the revitalization of Downtown DC – the Downtown Action Plan and Downtown Public Realm Plan.
The Downtown Action Plan has been developed by the DowntownDC and Golden Triangle Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), supported in part by the Federal City Council and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development. The plan identifies a set of targeted initiatives and a detailed recommendation roadmap for the reimagination of Downtown.
The Downtown Public Realm Plan was developed by the District’s Office of Planning to complement the Downtown Action Plan by providing recommendations on how to transform valuable outdoor space into a vibrant, safe, and active public realm that attracts new residents, businesses, and visitors.
