Mayor Bowser and District Education Leaders to Hold Virtual EdFEST on December 12

Wednesday, December 9, 2020

(Washington, DC) – On Saturday, December 12, at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and District education leaders will showcase DC’s public and public charter schools at the first-ever Virtual EdFEST. Families will be able to chat with representatives from every public school in the city and get help finding the best fit for their child. Participants must register online.

“EdfEST is the perfect time to showcase our fantastic public schools across all eight wards,” said Mayor Bowser. “We’re proud to offer robust school options, and we’re excited for families to explore the District’s schools and find a terrific fit for their students.”

More than 200 DC Public Schools (DCPS) and public charter schools, serving pre-K 3 through grade 12, will participate in the My School DC Virtual EdFEST 2020. Families can log on through their preferred device and browse their options to learn more about the diverse range of public and public charter schools throughout the District. Families can also connect directly with school representatives through the one-on-one chat feature.

With the launch of the public school lottery application on Monday, December 14, 2020 for the 2021-22 school year, EdFEST is a timely event to help families make informed choices.
