(Washington, DC) On Tuesday, March 15, at 3:30 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser and Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Chief Robert J. Contee III will provide an update in the arrest of an individual suspected of targeting, violently attacking, and in two incidents, killing men experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC and New York City. MPD and the New York City Police Department have been investigating these offenses jointly with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Over the past two days, Mayor Bowser and New York City Mayor Eric Adams called on anyone with information about the suspect to share tips. Early this morning, law enforcement arrested the suspect in Washington, DC.
