(Washington, DC) – In observance and support of the 58th Presidential Inauguration, Mayor Bowser has activated the District Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to ensure that city services are well-coordinated and to mitigate any emergency incidents that may arise in Washington, DC during the Inaugural weekend. The District EOC and JIC were activated at 6 am on Thursday, January 19, and will operate 24/7 through Saturday, January 21 at 6 pm.
As part of the EOC activation, the District Joint Information Center (JIC) has been activated to coordinate information sharing related to the Inauguration and to facilitate media requests. Media inquiries related to District services during the Inauguration should be directed to the District JIC at (202) 481-3059. Any questions regarding official Inauguration events and federal activities should be addressed to the United States Secret Service JIC at (202) 406-9360.
