(Washington, DC) – On Tuesday, March 24, Mayor Bowser, along with A&R Development, Clark Builders Group, the DC Housing Authority and Walmart will break ground on a mixed-use, transit-oriented development project in Northeast. This ceremonial groundbreaking will begin phase two of a 40-acre community — Capitol Gateway Marketplace — that includes a 312-unit apartment building and a Walmart Supercenter.
This groundbreaking is part of a week-long effort leading up to Mayor Bowser’s March 31 State of the District Address to highlight ways the Administration is helping to create Pathways to the Middle Class for DC residents.
