In an Effort to Build a #SaferStrongerDC, Mayor Bowser to Convene Faith Leaders at Luncheon on Public Safety

(Washington, DC) – On, Thursday, February, 28 at 12 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser along with members of her Administration will convene faith leaders to discuss collective strategies to reduce hate crimes and gun violence in the District. Later in the evening, the Bowser Administration will host the first meeting of the newly established Interfaith Advisory Preparedness Group (IPAG), which encourages dialogue with the District’s faith-based organizations to help them enhance preparedness for all types of hazards.

Reporters and other media are invited to cover introductory remarks at the start of the luncheon. Mayor Bowser and members of her Administration will address members of the press once the event has concluded.
