Coronavirus Data for January 4, 2022

(Washington, DC) The District’s reported data for January 4, 2022 includes 1,326 new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the District’s overall positive case total to 106,819. 

 The District reported that two additional residents lost their lives due to COVID-19.  

  • 86-year-old female 
  • 87-year-old female 

Tragically, 1,222 District residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

The District currently has 44 intensive care unit (ICU) beds available in hospitals out of 345 total ICU beds.

  • 301 total ICU inpatients
  • 86 COVID-19 positive ICU inpatients
