Coronavirus Data for August 17, 2021

(Washington, DC) -  The District’s reported data for August 17, 2021 includes 109 new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and 72 backlogged cases, bringing the District’s overall positive case total to 53,024. 

The District reported that two additional residents lost their lives due to COVID-19.

  • 80-year-old female
  • 66-year-old male

Tragically, 1,153 District residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19.
