Mayor Muriel Bowser highlighted mental health investments to expand school-based mental health services to additional public and public charter schools and the new community response team (CRT), which will provide 24-hour services to residents experiencing psychiatric emergencies, trauma, or mental health and substance use disorders.
The new location allows Banneker Academic High School to expand access to 300 additional students from neighborhoods across the city.

The Mayor will highlight the District’s upcoming priorities, the progress the city has made over the past year and discusses her vision for the District’s future.
The Administration’s Budget Engagement Forums are designed as interactive discussions where DC residents can provide input to help shape priorities. Mayor Bowser, City Administrator Rashad Young and Budget Director Matt Brown will present an overview of the current budget environment. Following the presentation, Administration Officials will facilitate small group discussion on specific budget priority topics.
