(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, March 19 at 3 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) will host the 12th annual DMPED March Madness, the District’s annual business showcase of real estate, housing, and workforce support initiatives. This year’s event, hosted at Nationals Park, will feature upcoming development opportunities for DC businesses to help grow the District’s economy, and will also celebrate the public-private partnerships that have delivered transformational projects across the District over the past 12 years.
Mayor Bowser will participate in a fireside chat moderated by Brian Kenner, Global Head of Community Engagement at Amazon, who also served as the District’s Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development from 2015 to 2019.
Registration is required and guests can register at obviouslydc.com/mm26.
Over the past decade, the Bowser Administration has found new ways to unstick stuck projects and deliver housing, jobs, and economic growth across all eight wards—from St. Elizabeths East in Ward 8 and Reservoir District in Ward 5 to Skyland in Ward 7 and many transformational developments in between. Much of that progress traces back to DMPED March Madness, an annual tradition where we connect residents, business owners, and investors with opportunities on the horizon and show them how they can be part of building a stronger DC.
Press interested in attending the event are asked to RSVP to [email protected].
The DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment will provide a live feed of this event. To view the event, visit mayor.dc.gov/live, tune in on Channel 16 (DCN), or watch on Mayor Bowser’s Facebook or X.
